Respite is what happens when loved ones care for each other - and recognize the need to rest and recharge. Caring for a family member can be deeply rewarding, but also emotionally and physically demanding.
Respite Care gives primary caregivers time to attend to personal needs, appointments, or simply take a well-deserved break. Our trained respite caregivers step in with compassion and skill, providing the same level of care your loved one is used to - whether it’s for a few hours, a weekend, or longer.
This temporary support helps prevent burnout and ensures your loved one continues to receive the care they deserve. According to the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), Respite Services are defined as:
“Short-term or intermittent care and supervision of a member to provide an interval of rest and/or relief to a family member or other person caring for the member. Respite provides activities and services to meet the social, emotional, and physical needs of the member during the respite period.”
These services may be covered through Medicaid for those who qualify. Because caring for others starts with caring for yourself, too.
