Why choose in-home care?

In-home care lets your loved one remain in the comfort and familiarity of their home while receiving the care and support they need. It’s often more affordable than assisted living or nursing homes, and it allows for one-on-one attention, personalized routines, and the presence of family.

How do I get started with home care services?

Simply call us at 623-932-4878 to schedule a free in-home care assessment. We’ll visit your home, talk through your needs, and create a customized care plan. Once we’ve identified the right services, we’ll match you with one of our trained, compassionate caregivers in Arizona.

Who can receive Good Neighbor’s home care services?

Our services are available to seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, new mothers, post-surgical patients, and anyone in need of non-medical support at home. If you're unsure whether in-home care is right for you, just give us a call—we’re happy to help.

Is Good Neighbor Support Services licensed, insured, and bonded?

Yes! We are fully licensed, insured, and bonded in the state of Arizona for your peace of mind.

How long has Good Neighbor been providing home care?

We’ve been proudly offering home and community-based services in Arizona for over 24 years. We're also contracted with the Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) and the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).

How soon can services begin?

After your initial consultation, we can typically start care within 1–2 days. We work quickly to match you with a qualified caregiver and get your care plan in motion.

Can I adjust my care schedule or services later on?

Of course. Our custom care plans are flexible. Whether you need more hours, different services, or a new schedule, simply call us and we’ll adjust things to meet your needs.

What are your office hours?

Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. We also have a 24/7 on-call supervisor to handle urgent needs or caregiver support outside regular hours.

Is there a contract involved?

There’s no long-term contract required. We provide a simple service agreement outlining the type of home care services, scheduling, and payment terms.

Can I meet or choose my caregiver?

Yes! If you’d like to be involved in choosing your caregiver, we’re happy to schedule interviews so you can find the right fit.

What if I want a different caregiver?

If for any reason you're not comfortable with your caregiver, let us know. We’ll quickly arrange a replacement that better matches your preferences.

What happens if my caregiver is sick or unavailable?

We always have backup caregivers on staff. If your regular caregiver is out, we’ll make sure a qualified team member is sent to your home with no interruption to your care.

Are your caregivers employees or independent contractors?

All of our caregivers are employees of Good Neighbor, not contractors. That means they’re trained, supervised, and supported to maintain the highest standard of care.

How much does private pay home care cost?

We charge hourly rates, with a 4-hour minimum per visit. Shorter visits may be available at a slightly higher rate. Contact us for a personalized quote that fits your care plan and budget.

Who pays for in-home care services?

We accept multiple forms of payment for non-medical home care, including:
ALTCS (Arizona Long Term Care System)
DDD (Division of Developmental Disabilities)
Private Pay (self-funded home care services)
Long-Term Care Insurance (LTC)

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa and MasterCard for your convenience.

How often will I be billed?

We send out invoices weekly and bill for services in advance to keep things simple and transparent.

Does Medicare cover in-home care?

Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover non-medical home care. It only covers skilled medical services like nursing or physical therapy. However, we’re happy to work alongside your Medicare providers to support a full care plan.

What if I have questions about my bill?

Just give us a call! We’re happy to explain your charges and help with any billing questions.

Do you screen your caregivers?

Yes. All caregivers undergo:
A nationwide background checkSocial
Security and identity verification

We also provide state-mandated training, continuing education, and regular evaluations.

Can you provide care in hospitals or assisted living facilities?
