Veteran Services

As a Veteran you  are entitled to in-home care benefits you might not be aware of.  Good Neighbor Support Services provides in-home care for veterans and their surviving spouses who require the regular attendance of another person.  This service is available to you through the Aid and Attendance Program (A&A).  This special pension may be available to you or your surviving spouse who are at least 65 years old.  It is a non-service connected disability benefit, that does not need to be as a result of service.  The process can take from 4-8 months to be processed.  The Benefit is retroactive meaning from the date the application is submitted you may receive compensation so It is a good idea to keep a copy of all un-reimbursed medical bills for at least 12 months.

Your Aid & Attendance Benefit

How your benefit works and the in-home care you can receive:

Once approved, the A&A benefit is paid directly to you or your qualified surviving spouse to help pay for in-home services.  Good Neighbor will be providing a caregiver to assist you with your Activities of Daily Living.  We will bill you on a weekly basis and provide you with statements as proof of your expenditure on home care.

"They are not just your benefits ...
it is your right!"

Having a caregiver may be a new experience for you, and we want it to be a good one.  At Good Neighbor, we only hire the highest quality employees and train them to a level that exceeds Arizona’s guidelines for caregivers.

Each caregiver has successfully passed a background check and has undergone an extensive screening process prior to employment.  To ensure your satisfaction with the care you receive, we regularly evaluate the performance of each of our caregivers.

At Good Neighbor Support Services, we work with you to tailor your care to meet your needs. We can provide any combination of the services below on a schedule that works for you. Our caregivers can deliver support anywhere from 4 hours, to 24 hours, with many other options in between.

If you need services right away, and the A&A Benefit has been submitted but not authorized, you can begin to receive assistance through our Private Duty Services.  Our Private Duty will provide the care you need today and will provide you with statements of paid for services that you can submit for retroactive payment to the Aid & Attendance Benefit.
